A few sessions before your operation help prepare the tissues and get to know your body better. It is also a good time to plan your post-operative visits with the therapist.
The timing of your first visit depends on the type of surgery and your surgeon’s advice. Please bring confirmation from your doctor that drainage is allowed. We work very gently, and scar mobilisation only begins once the wound has healed.
A course of several visits in the first weeks is usual. A session lasts 30, 45 or 60 minutes and costs from £50. Report worrying symptoms such as fever, increasing pain or redness to your doctor straight away.
